gci sure

GCI Sure.™ We make Sure, so you don't have to.

GCI Sure™ is the quality program behind every ingredient we ship. It's how we vet our suppliers, test our material, document our chain of custody, and stand behind the actives on every label we sell. It's also why every one of our branded ingredients ends the same way: HumicSure™, PrebioSure™, MycoSure™, SerraSure™. Sure isn't a suffix. It's the standard.

What GCI Sure™ means for a formulator.

When you bring an ingredient into a formulation, your name goes on the finished product. The actives have to hit. The COA has to be clean. The supplier has to be there next quarter. The story has to hold up if a regulator, a retailer, or a consumer comes asking.

GCI Sure™ is the program we run so that, for the ingredients we ship, those answers are already settled before the material reaches your dock.

It rests on five things.

1. Rigorous testing and analysis.

Every lot we release is characterized against a defined specification. Our protocols verify identity, potency, safety, and stability:

  • Sensory attributes — appearance, taste, odor.
  • Standardization markers — extract ratio and active percentage tested by HPLC, UV-Vis, or the appropriate validated method.
  • Particle size and physical form — to confirm consistency lot to lot and suitability for the intended dosage form.
  • Pesticide residues and heavy metals — tested against published regulatory limits.
  • Microbiological analysis — for total plate count, yeast, mold, and pathogens of concern.
  • Solubility and stability — confirmed against intended applications.

A current Certificate of Analysis is available for every ingredient on request.

2. Stringent supplier selection.

We don’t simply buy the cheapest material that meets a spec. We qualify the supplier behind it. Before any new source enters the GCI Sure™ network, we verify:

  • Accreditations, capabilities, and the manufacturing site itself.
  • Compliance with regulatory requirements and applicable industry standards.
  • Sample evaluation for identity, actives, and physical attributes.
  • Adherence to current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and good sanitation practices.
  • Effective pest control and microbiological testing programs.
  • Reliable traceability and recall procedures.

Suppliers who clear that bar stay in the network. Suppliers who don’t, don’t.

3. Transparency and traceability.

We work with verified transportation partners and source-side producers to maintain a documented chain of custody from the field, fermenter, or factory through to your receiving dock. Every lot we ship is traceable backward to its origin and forward to the customers we shipped it to. That’s a regulatory requirement under cGMP. It’s also the foundation of any honest recall procedure — and the reason we can answer hard questions quickly when a customer needs us to.

4. Research and verification.

We don’t rely solely on supplier-provided data. We scrutinize the research behind the actives we sell, validate it against independent sources, and — where the science warrants — supplement it with our own clinical work through our research partners in California and Hungary. The result is that the ingredients we put forward are supported by science we can defend, not marketing we can quote.

For our branded ingredients, that often means peer-reviewed third-party research, in-house pre-clinical work, or both.

5. A global sourcing network built over decades.

A quality program is only as good as the relationships behind it. Since the 1990s, GCI has worked directly with growers, producers, and manufacturers across the major botanical-source countries — including India, China, Brazil, Hungary, and elsewhere across Europe and the Americas. Several of those supplier relationships span more than two decades.

That’s how a customer asking for a difficult-to-find ingredient usually gets a yes. Not because we hold every SKU on the shelf, but because we know who does — and we know whether they meet the GCI Sure™ standard before we make the introduction.

Why the Sure in our branded ingredients.

It isn’t a marketing flourish. Every ingredient in our trademarked line — HumicSure™, PrebioSure™, MycoSure™, RhodiolaSure™, SerraSure™, GarliSure™, Olivir™, GeOxy-132™, DHA3Sure™, PoliSure™, LipoSerine™, PEASure™, PQQSure™, and Diehl’s Own® CM — has been built and qualified under the GCI Sure™ program from the source up. The name on the bag is, in effect, our signature.

What you get when you buy from GCI.

  • A current Certificate of Analysis on request for every ingredient, every lot.
  • A Specification Sheet defining identity, actives, and applicable test limits.
  • A Safety Data Sheet for handling and storage.
  • A documented chain of custody back to the source.
  • A scientific advisory team available to answer formulation, application, and regulatory questions.
  • A 50-plus-year supplier that intends to be there for the next 50.

Talk to us about your next ingredient.

Whether you’re qualifying a new source, replacing an existing one, or building something brand-new, GCI Sure™ is what we’ll put behind the material we ship.

Clear documentation for your quality team

The SIDI (Standardized Information on Dietary Ingredients) protocol is an industry framework for organizing ingredient and facility information. It can help suppliers and manufacturers exchange quality and regulatory documentation consistently. It is not a product certification.

Tell us which supplier questionnaires and supporting documents your quality team requires. We will confirm the material-specific documentation available for your evaluation.
