Q-Max

GCI Nutrients has a Quality Control program called Q-Max.  In Q-Max, each ingredient is tested for potency (usually the level of one or more active compounds) and purity (heavy metals and microbiologicals). In addition, GCI and most of its suppliers adhere to the Standardized Information on Dietary Ingredients (SIDI) protocol.  The primary goal of the voluntary SIDI protocol is to streamline the communication of information on dietary supplement ingredients from ingredient suppliers to finished product manufacturers. The SIDI protocol details the type and scope of information in a standardized format, rather than a supplier having to reply to a request for a different set of information for an ingredient for each of the supplier’s customers.
